both lights and camera can be adjusted to the angle that you need. so you should be find to put in where you want

I mounted this product horizontally on a soffit and had no issues getting the adjustments to aim both lights and the camera. The cam has such a wide angle which makes it very forgiving when positioning. Hope this is helpful.
