• Hi Hammer, Thanks for reaching out. Nine feet (three meters) off the ground is the optimal height to get the best range for the motion detector. With the motion detector parallel to the ground, Floodlight Cam optimized for detecting human-sized objects up to 30 feet (10 meters) away.
