I had my floodlights w/ camera installed in the same location as my old floodlights. After installation, I noticed that the installer didn’t use a junction box that Is indicated in the instructions. It is working properly. Should I be concerned? null

There are different ways to install these things based on the setup you have for the existing electrical. If it works, looks sturdy, and is sealed against the wall (has a rubber ring around it to keep out moisture), then you should be good to go!

You just need to use silicone around the base and that should cover it

Update: I had an electrician to come out and he explained that my junction box is internal. The one that ring gives in the instructions is an external junction box.

Your camera should be installed into a junction box.
