They do make a battery operated one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is VERY easy to install, but a bit heavy. Use the hangar that comes with it to take the stress off your arms while doing the wiring. After that all configuration is done on your mobile device via your network. You can't put it up without an existing light or light mount because it requires hard wiring to the house electric supply. If you do install it, remind people not to turn off the light switch controlling the fixture or the whole thing powers off.
