“How far will these cameras reach for viewing purposes to see motion or objects, if one is on my house aimed at garage in back yard, how many feet away can it detect something?”

We just installed both the wired spotlight camera and ring doorbell. And we are very happy with the results. I have a fairly large corner lot and motion detector reaches beyond our yard. Both units are amazing also at the wide angle they reach. We actually have to make the perimeters smaller so as not to be alerted at all the activity going on beyond our yard. 100% would purchase again.

You can decrease its sensitivity if the alerts are bothersome...as they sometimes are. I have 2 spot light cameras one I have reduced the sensitivity because cars passing the house were causing alerts and the other I kept the factory sensitivity setting.

The road is around 100 feet from where the camera is mounted and so I changed the settings in the camera software because it was picking up the cars driving down the road. All that to say at least 100 feet. Hope this helps. We have two of these cameras and are very happy with them.
