• Hi Kapp, Great question. The width coverage for the Ring Video Doorbell is 180 degrees horizontal, 140 degrees vertical. Additionally, Nine feet (three meters) off the ground is the optimal height to get the best range for the motion detector. With the motion detector parallel to the ground, Floodlight Cam optimized for detecting human-sized objects up to 30 feet (10 meters) away. • This is very adjustable. You can set a specific area by moving virtual boarders via the application. I have mine set to watch along my fence line. Very cool feature.
