• It doesn't use a battery. You have to plug it into an outlet. It uses wifi to connect to your router. Download the Ring app & you use your phone. It also can show on Echo Show or computer

• The $59- camera is inside only and plugs into an electric outlet. The cord is approximately 5 feet long. Yes the video can be seen On your smart phone.
