Hello, The Ring Smart Lighting Battery Powered Floodlight is powered by four D-cell Batteries (not included). The battery life is one year under normal use (8-10 light activations a day at Level 8 brightness, 20 seconds duration). It is important to note that battery life is dependent on device settings, usage, and other factors. Additionally, the brightness may decrease as the battery life is depleted. The Ring Smart Lighting Battery Powered Floodlight can be connected to the Ring Bridge (sold separately) to enable smart controls in the Ring App, and sync with other Ring Smart Lights, Ring doorbells and cameras, as well as select Alexa-enabled devices. If you have an Amazon Echo (4th gen) or an Echo Show 10 (3rd gen), your ability to coordinate your Ring Smart Lighting has expanded thanks to the device’s built-in Ring Bridge. The link below will answer commonly asked questions concerning setting up and using the built-in Ring Bridge in the Amazon Echo (4th gen or later) or the Echo Show 10 (3rd gen or later) with the Ring App. https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360059329551-Using-your-Echo-devices-as-a-Smart-Lighting-Bridge If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out on our community forum at https://community.ring.com/.
