However, real battery life is dependent on a number of factors, such as local weather, the number of events captured, and the frequency of activation. averages about 2 wks, depends on how you set the motion detectors

I just got my camera and hooked it up. The store told me that the camera came fully charged so I didn’t charge it. I only use it to make sure my injured horse does not lie down during the night. I started about 7:30 pm last night and by three pm today it said I only had 20% left. I took off the motion sensor and am fully charging a second battery I bought. Should this alleviate the rapid battery usage?

Not sure but I would guess every 3-4 months
