“I just installed the Ring pro doorbell which has it's own app and works great. If I purchase this Ring camera, could I set it to my existing ring door bell app or would I have to download a separate app for the Ring camera?”

One app for all Ring branded products, including their security system. I really wish you could also view the Blink cameras with this app (which Amazon also owns).
