“Does this camera have the ability to look back at video stream from previous days or does it only record when motion is activated? My neighbors ring only records if activated by motion.”

As long as you buy into there storage service it stores like 30 days. Also you can download saved videos to save for yourself.

Please try again later.Yes it records only when motion and yes you can go back to previous days of motion videos but there is also an option in ring app to record in between events. Just have to talk to the ring representative and he can help you set it up. Also if you have another camera like i have the doorbell and one like this for cars and someone touches doorbell but for some reason was too fast for it to record video, once it sensed motion your other camera turns on automatically to catch that area incase one misses it for some reason..
