It’s not suppose to be, but I did it and it works great! At first the tilt looks strange (like it’s pointed downward too much), but when you view the camera via the app, the picture looks perfect (not too tilted).

While you are technically able to mount your Spotlight Cam horizontally, please do note that the image already appears in landscape mode (horizontally) therefore, everytime you view events you may have to contort your head.
