“Does this spotlight require the ring bridge? Or can it be operated by the ring base station? Also, if it needs a bridge is it compatible with the Samsung smart things bridge?”

Hi Compatibility, thank you for your question. The Ring Smart Lighting Bridge is for use with Ring Smart Lighting devices. Ring Security Cameras, like the Spotlight Cam Wired, connects via wifi and does not require the Ring Bridge for use. Following the set up process in the Ring app will walk you through connecting your Camera to wifi, then you can control it from the Ring app. Best, Ashley from Ring.
