I would assume that the third wire is a ground wire. You electric box should have a place to attach a ground wire ( look for a bare copper wire attached to a screw in back of box)

However, as the Floodlight Camera requires a junction box as well as wiring up live wires, it's recommended you hire a licensed electrician to install the Floodlight Cam. The Ring Floodlight Cam should be connected to a 100 VAC~240 VAC 50/60 Hz power source.
