“I am wanting to put this above my garage. However, I currently have two lights on either side of the garage that stay on throughout the night. Will the lights from the garage lights prevent the motion sensor from working properly?”

No. I have the same situation and it works fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We have the Ring doorbell pro & it’s installed near our front porch light. The motion detector works just fine as it’s detecting heat, not light. We’re installing the Ring spotlight cam as soon as the weather cooperates. Best of luck to you! We love our Ring doorbell!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.TIhe lights will not prevent the motion sensor, but they can prevent the light included in the camera. I have flood lights by the garage also, what I did was to aim the flood lights on opposite direccion from the camera, that worked good
