Hello Suz. Thank you for reaching out! To answer your question, battery life is based more accurately on the number of events rather than the amount of time that passes between charges. While batteries in Ring devices can last for a month or more with normal use, there are several factors that may impact battery life. Those things include, but are not limited to, weather conditions, and increased activity. I have included a help article that provides additional details on what factors may impact battery life, and how to aid in ensuring you get the most out of your battery: https://ring.com/support/articles/0ot3t/Battery-Powered-Ring-Cameras-and-Cold-Weather. If any additional information is needed regarding your Ring Battery Doorbell or Ring Indoor Cam, please reach out to our community. Ring Community is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another and share their feedback and experiences directly with Ring. You can find it here: https://community.ring.com/. Sincerely, Jess from Ring.
