• No for two reasons. 1 motion detection is based on heat signatures in this case, your window will be a uniform temp masking the movement of something on the opposite side. 2 digital cameras see infrared light I suspect I t would be reflected back at your camera distorting the image

• Yes, but not as well as being outside the sensors seem to react more accurately without glass between it and outside. I think I'm getting reflective light from double glass window
