A:AnswerIt definitely lasts a long time. The battery lasts for at least a couple months before needing to recharge. It's a lithium ion battery and the cam comes with a USB charging cable. Takes a few hours to charge from 0-100%. If you choose to, you can install the cam in an easy snap-out base that makes it very easy to get the cam down and back in during chargings. We've had great results with ours - I highly recommend.
A:AnswerThe WiFi range really depends more on your wireless router than the Ring device. My furthest device is about 60 feet from the router and works fine.
A:AnswerThe only issue would be the WiFi signal. You can test with cell phone. Go to the stop you want to install. Connect to you WiFi and go to an internet speed test site and see what you get. If you get high latency and low done and up, look into repeaters to boost signal.
A:AnswerYes it can be used separately. Each device is added independently of each other and it's viewed individually. You can even do live views with the camera to check in whenever you want, not just when there is motion. Great product! I have zero complaints. And customer service is top notch and prompt. I have several of their products
A:AnswerYou do have to pay $30/camera/yr, however, you can optionally choose to pay $100/yr for an unlimited number of cameras, depending on what makes better financial sense to you. Hope it helps.
A:AnswerThe Ring app works fine on mac. You can have the cameras anywhere that you can connect them to the internet. I have two in Wyoming and two in Utah. All four show up in the app on my phone and on my laptops.
A:AnswerI would not try it at 90 degrees from the approach to your door. You'd miss most people approaching because the camera isn't 180 degrees of coverage.
A:AnswerNothing is truly permanent if I bring a power drill and bits I got anything you hang up. But with the stickup cam you also have video of me doing it.
Plus check rings website they have a replacement policy if your ring device is stolen.
A:AnswerYou have to pay $3 a month to keep the videos stored. It's wireless, you can charge the cam or use solar or power cord. Video is in color with sound. No memory card hence the monthly fee
A:AnswerA 3/3 that is 3 Mbps download 3 Mbps upload would probably get the job done as long as the signal from the wifi router was strong to the camera
