A:AnswerWould not suggest putting the camera on a box slowing just the lens to peek through. It needs to be out in the open so the motion/heat sensor can pick up move and record.
A:AnswerThere's no way to turn it off, but inside your garage you most likely have a plug. You can plug it in. It comes with a long USB cord, but you'll need to buy a USB to electric plug. They're readily available and cheap. Plugging it in keeps your battery charged at all times. If someone were to unplug it it still records and uploads...until the battery charge runs out. That's the preferred way to setup...and that's how we've done it. Works great.
