There's no way to turn it off, but inside your garage you most likely have a plug. You can plug it in. It comes with a long USB cord, but you'll need to buy a USB to electric plug. They're readily available and cheap. Plugging it in keeps your battery charged at all times. If someone were to unplug it it still records and uploads...until the battery charge runs out. That's the preferred way to setup...and that's how we've done it. Works great.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It cannot be hardwired, but it can be connected to the included USB cord to keep it charged. With typical use the battery lasts 6-12 months and it can be set to motion detector to only record when motion is detected.

The battery lasts a very long time and you can supply power to them 24/7 without issue. However, there is no Ethernet port so it will transfer data via WiFi.
