It all depends on how strong your Wi-Fi signal is where you plan to place the device. The more obstructions and interference the more that affects your Wi-Fi signal from your router. There are many variables that control the signal. The only way to really tell is purchase the device and install it. Once installed you go to the RING app on your phone and check device health. That's the only way to truly tell.

The best approach to this issue is to request a Best Buy in Home Advisor to no cost, it’s free. He or she will guide you find a solution that it’s feasible to your needs. The advisor went to my house and brought a device that measured the strength of the Wi-Fi signal and we promptly discover that the router provided by the Cable Company had insufficient strength. We order from Best Buy a new router, three EERO network re-transmitters that plugs in any conventional electric outlet and four cameras with two solar panels for the ones located outside the house. Two of the cameras outside this two-story home are about 30 feet distance from the router are working way beyond my expectations. I suggest that if you are technology illiterate like me. Get a home advisor and save time, money and headaches. Thanks to Advisor Christian Ortega from the Winter Garden Best Buy store he did an awesome job.
