• YES, instead of attaching at the bottom, you attach at the back and then you can swivel up and down. due to the wide field of view, it is enough movement to capture left and right, whatever area of interest to you. Mine is above my garage door and focuses down the drive way to see who is coming up...and captures road and sidewalk action.

• Yes the camera swivels, not sure of the degree, but since the lens is like a fisheye it covers a lot of area.
