• Hi Shimmyshoe1, Thanks for reaching out. No, you do not need to have a pre-existing doorbell in order for you Ring Video Doorbell to function. Please do note that you will have to go with the battery powered Ring Video Doorbell if you do not have a pre-existing doorbell.
