“Good Morning: My original doorbell is hooked to my vinyl siding (not my door frame) and is much smaller. Will this be a problem as I believe Ring is bigger. Anyone have their doorbell on their siding & hooked ring up to it with no issue?”

Ring is much bigger than my doorbell was. Hooked it up right on the siding with no problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I removed my original doorbell from the hardiplank siding. The Ring has a face plate that you have to screw into the siding. It will slide on top and attach to the plate. I have not had any problems with it.
