- Answer Yes, but you should check with the apartment manager to see if they alloy them. You can use this Rung doorbell anywhere, with or without an existing doorbell.

- Answer Our ring is connected to wifi using our home internet provider. If you mean umlimited data for a cellphone l it could work in theory, but you would have to use your cellphone as a hotspot. This means if you were away with the phone ring wouldn't work. You so would have to see how much data you are allowed to use as a hot spot. You really should have gome internet and then you can connect ring to Wifi.

- Answer Yes. The battery is not intended to be removed. It will collect the power supplied and maintain that power at full charge. It also acts as a battery backup in case your power goes out.

- Answer You can just mount it. It runs on rechargeablebattery, and alert via smartphone or tablet through the app. If you want to hear it besides your phone, you need to buy the chime.

- Answer Yes! The sole purpose for having the ring doorbell is to have the availability to view, answer the ring or motion when your unavailable to get to the door or while your away from your home. Having it connected to WiFi gives you that piece of mind. Otherwise it’s just an expensive doorbell that you wouldn’t be using to it’s full potential.

QuestionCan this device be used if my doorbell is not set up on same wall as my door? My door bell is on a wall perpendicular to front door. The viewing area may not project to front area.

- Answer If you mount it on the side wall, you will see a side view of everything. You could mount it by the door and run from battery. This would require you to remove the doorbell to charge the battery whenever it gets low. Also it would not ring your existing chime. You might want to purchase a wireless one.
