Hi Woodyjoe, Thanks for reaching out. Ring Video Doorbell uses lithium polymer batteries. With average use, your Ring Video Doorbell should last you up to 6 months before having to be recharged. However, please do note that battery life is contingent on usage, the number of alerts you receive per day will impact your battery life. Additionally, the Ring Video Doorbell is weather-resistant and should operate in temperatures ranging between -5 to 120 degrees F.
