• yes, the ring cam works even if you do not have a actual doorbell. When button is pushed, there is a tone that is heard at the doorbell cam but not in the resident, however, if linked to your cell phone you receive a notification that you had a ring as well as all other personal notifications you set to your doorbell cam.
