Yes, you have to have wi-fi or you can’t install the app.

I have it on WIFI my internet is up and down for the most part I don’t have a problem. I have been told if you do not have WIFI you can use your hotspot. I have not tried that yet.

Yes or be close enough for Bluetooth to connect
