• A:Answer Well I don't know where YOU live but in Massachusetts east coast USA where it gets really cold in the winter and hot in the summer but I don't have to charge this EVERY week nor every 2 weeks as this ring person said! In the winter I charge it once a month or 2 depending on how cold it gets and in the summer I charge once every 2 months or so. I hope this helps, I love my Ring Doorbell and am very happy that I got it! Dave in Mass.USA

• A:Answer It comes with a cable. You have to take the battery out and use the cable with a not-included adapter (typical cell charger setup). If you are replacing an existing wired bell You can use the wires to hardwire the Ring and it will keep the battery charged. And it will ring your existing doorbell chime.
