Q: QuestionIs the 3 newer and better than the ring pro?
Asked by Beer24.
- A:Answer I installed both versions. And I'm leaning more to ears the 3 now. 1. You don't have to use a capacitor or resistor. 2. The battery gives you back up in the chance your power goes out.

Q: QuestionWhy does my wired ring doorbell ring on it's own.
Asked by Trinessa.
- A:Answer Hi Trinessa. Thank you for your question today! Your Ring Video Doorbell 3 should not ring on it's own if setup and working correctly. First, check the hardwiring from the back of the doorbell and ensure the two wires are securely attached to the terminal screws on the back of the doorbell. Also make sure they aren't touching each other at all. If your doorbell is still ringing on it's own, we recommend following these steps to perform a factory reset of the device: Press and hold the setup button on the back of the device. Release the setup button after 20 seconds. Wait at least 60 seconds after the factory reset is complete for the Ring device to boot up. It can take up to 120 seconds for the Ring device to boot up.
