  • QuestionWill I be able to switch out my current Ring Generation 1 doorbell for this and not add additional screw holes to my stucco wall? Essentially want to know if the 4th generation one is the same size and screw holes line up that go into the wall anchors

    Asked by Jenn.

    • Answer Hi Jenn. Thanks for asking! While the Ring Video Doorbell 4 can be installed over the existing holes, they will not line up with the previous model. Physically installing your Ring Video Doorbell 4 is a simple process. Note that you should setup your Ring Doorbell 4 in your Ring app before mounting it to your door. • QuestionHow do you install a Ring 4

    Asked by Jack.

    • Answer You first install a mounting bracket on the wall; this done with screws. Next, you affix the doorbell to the bracket. Finally, Ring provides a special screwdriver that you use to screw the doorbell on the mounting bracket. Don't worry, it is very firm and secure attachment; also, if someone steals the doorbell therefrom, Ring replaces it, that is if you follow their instructions for such a replacement under such circumstances, e.g., police report.

  • QuestionDoes this doorbell not offer Video Recording Capability as it states?

    Asked by Sgarza.

    • Answer Hello Sgarza, Yes, all Ring doorbells and cameras, including the Video Doorbell 4 offer the ability to record video. With the optional Ring Protect Plans, you have the ability to review, save and share your video recordings for as little as $3 a month. Your Ring videos are stored in the cloud for up to 60 days (in the US). Without a plan, you will still receive real time motion and ring alerts, as well as have access to the Ring live view feature.
