- Answer Yes, but wireless. Ring doorbell never specifies what to do or what kind of Charger and volts to use in South america. They do not even sale the European ring doorbell in US. Business, money. Why they don't sale a Ring doorbell with double voltage with a switch. If I fly to another country I want to use my Ring doorbell in my hotel room or Airbnb, or in my own house or apartment in another country. I can pay double for a Ring doorbell that is more useful.

QuestionSince I setup Ring, I have noticed that my battery life on cell phone drains faster than it did before I setup Ring. Is there a way I can prevent that happening?

- Answer I would suggest lowering down the area that you have set for motion...I have mine set at 5ft and under and get alot less alerts, which in turn stops me from having to use the phone to monitor as frequently.

- Answer Any phones using any iOS or Android (4 or above) can use the Ring. Any web enabled computer or tablet should be able to use the Ring.

- Answer My friend has one. Looks like a fancy door bell. I didn't know it had camera, sound, record ability until she told me. Lights up when you push button.

- Answer If you have it connected to your home WiFi and have the Ring app on your smart phone you will get the door bell notifications. You get 1 months free cloud service with the device, after that you have to pay $3 a month to be able to see any past activity that you miss from the RIng device.

- Answer Yes! They will work perfectly with any decent Wi-Fi signal that you can provide! I have even purchased a chime pro to plug it in as an indoor doorbell that helps to extend the Wi-Fi signal! My video and audio are absolutely outstanding!

- Answer The company realizes that this is can happen and will replace any units that are stolen. So make sure you register the product. The nice thing is that the video is uploaded to the Ring servers and is still able to be recovered and used to identify the thief.

QuestionMy doorbell is hard wired but on the left side of my house next to the door. That way it I'm afraid it doesn't face the person when they walk up the steps and ring the doorbell. Can it be turned slightly so that it faces the person walking up my steps.

- Answer It wires in like any other doorbell. I would recommend charging it via USB cable provided prior to installation, that way you can setup the wifi access without fear of the battery not being charged enough.

- Answer Yes, we replaced our current doorbell with the Ring doorbell. It is hardwired and the battery life is excellent due to the "trickle" charge that keeps the battery charged.

- Answer It only records about 5 seconds after motion is triggered without responding to the movement. You can setup so that it will instantly show movement on your mobile phone or tablet. When the view comes up, there is a red and green button on the screen. If the green button is pressed, it will record until the red button is pressed. Also, when the green button is pressed, you can converse with a person that is by the doorbell. There is also configurations on range of field to trip the sensor as well as how you get alerted. The doorbell logs are easy to delete as well.
