“How does this work with my chime i already have. Are there directions for getting it to work with my old chime”

Battery Ring models will work with existing door chime. Most Wired Ring models will not because the wiring to the unit is no longer an open-closed loop to ring the chime, but converted to feed needed transformer power to operate the Ring camera. Ring does offer a separate Blue Tooth device to get around this problem. It can be purchased separately or packaged with certain Ring models. If you have an Alexi device (I use the Echo Show 5) this also can be used to solve the problem.

The Ring Video Doorbell Wired requires existing doorbell wiring for its power supply, but it does not sound your existing doorbell chime. To hear audio alerts in your home, pair it with a Ring Chime or compatible Alexa device (each sold separately).
