This includes a bunch of DLC packs such as additional cars and so that is one reason it is more. Switch cartridges are also more expensive for developers, I believe they cost $10 which they add on to the physical cost.

No DLC included!!! in fact this was is a better to deal when you add up the cost of the DLC at least at the time I purchased.

Nintendo stated that physical releases will cost more due to the materials used to make the cart. Google it if you want further details

The physical edition includes some released DLC that doesn't come with the digital purchase.

Devs are saying the carts cost money. They pass the cost onto the consumer.

They don't have to pay to make physical media (disc or cartridge). Also Rocket League was out digitally way before it was out on physical copies.

There are 3 major reasons A) The physical edition includes extra DLC B) The physical edition includes an exclusive art piece C) The physical edition costs more to manufacture

The game cart costs. Plus you can not trade-in Digital purchases when you are done with them.

Because physical carts cost more to make. You get bonus DLC content and an art print to help offset the cost of the physical game.

Cost to create the cartridge and case would be a factor and with purchasing the physical version you get more bonus content as well
