• This cable does both for my system. I used this to replace a Vizio cord to one of my speakers in the back off my subwoofer.

• The only thing I could find out is the audio cables...red and white send analog signals. They told me they would work but I didn't believe them and didn't get them. I got the single cable instead.

• A subwoofer cable is a single wire that runs from the receiver directly to the subwoofer. Audio cables can be multiple different cables including optical cables, speaker wires, etc. Hope this helps.
