I used the Rocketfish - 2-Way HDMI Splitter to do it and it worked. I wanted to connect my analog Onkyo receiver (with 2 great Polk speakers) to my Samsung Bluray to play music, and use the BluRay also for movies, to my Samsung Smart TV. I also got an HDMI to Analog converter in the chain. Works well, only downside is that the TV seems to come on when I use the Bluray for Music, but I can turn it off.

This Best Buy splitter will work, take the HDMI from the cable box and plug into the input of the splitter then the two outputs to the TVs . I suggest you have an RF cable remote for Syrah channels from the other room.
