“Can I use this splitter for my laptop to show 2 different displays? I plugged it all in and it only duplicates my laptop screen onto both monitors. I can change the settings to show my laptop as screen one and both monitors show screen 2. How do I make the laptop and 1 monitor show the same thing while the second external monitor shows screen 2?”

What you input into the splitter will be put on both monitors hooked up to the outputs. You would need two separate hdmi outputs from your computer to show different outputs on your monitors.
