• I use this splitter on my Actiontec Wireless HDMI transmitter for my Yamaha RX-V377 AV receiver and my DirecTV HD receiver and I have not experienced any lag or latency. The HD picture and sound quality have been perfect using this splitter.

• It will not add latency. The splitter passes the signal through, it doesn't change it, so there will be no added latency.
