• It is DC current power. Some components have this feature. Then you would not need to use the included AC adapter. Most components connected to this amplifier do not have DC current flowing thru the coaxial cable connection. The AC plug in is needed then.

• Power does not come in through the coax.......there is a power adapter that plugs into a port (not seen in the picture).

• If you didn't want to use the #1 output, you could just wire it to +12V, positive center to that jack. If you still wanted to use all of the jacks, you'd need a power inserter like a Sonora HRFPI or a Holland HR PI-BW.

• Depends on the amplifier. I have seen 15 v and even 35v

• Yes - the center lead is +12V. I wired it up this way and it works fine.
