Banana plugs are easier to use
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe spade has better connections
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use the wire end that matches the speaker end . Most time at the receiver end you can use no spade connection. Speakers sometimes have them. I only use banana plugs when that is the option on the receiving end . You should use the same type as is on the devices if that makes sense.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Spade connectors have flat ends and must be secured by screwing them in. Banana plugs simply plug in and out. They can be used on both the speaker end and amplifier end for ease of plugging in and unplugging without having to unscrew anything, but your speakers and amp must be equipped to accomodate banana plugs. And some speakers and amps won’t accomodate spade plugs either.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Spades are U-shaped metal devices at the end of speaker cable to connect to speakers and amp, integrated amp or receiver connections. In general Spades provide the most accurate connection with banana plugs being the second best effort. Also many people still find bare wire to be a good choice. Many amps and some speakers will not accept spades. Also some speakers will not accept banana plugs (Wilson Audio).
