I would not. It's better suited for low voltage adapter plugs, i.e. cable/satellite boxes, tablets, etc. i would plug the microwave directly into the outlet.

Wattage would not matter. It is a 110v connection. 110v is what is going into the microwave. The wattage is what the microwave is using to cook the food.
