Like any other component you can leave the Rocketfish Bluetooth in its "on" or powered position. I do not for two reasons. First to conserve power and second so the device does not continue to search for a source. With many components constant heat can be a killer, so as a third reason turning off your Rocketfish will provide longevity! :-)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have left mine on, however when I am listening to my ITunes and walk into the house the phone automatically switches back over to this device. You will either have to turn off your device or this device to make it stop doing that.
