“Sometimes people leave their phones connected to the RF-BTR315 at work then go for lunch & continue to playing music from their phone. Without having access to the device or their phone can I stop their music and play music from my phone?”

Don’t know for sure but I would guess not. Their is a shutoff switch on the unit that would work but you said you didn’t have access.
