• It may but be sure the ends are correct. There are 2 styles for female and male connections. I needed a female DVI end for my Acer Laptop. This one is male on both ends.

• yes it can this adapter plugs into the HDMI port for the XBOX then use a DVI cable to the monitor. you will still need to use RCA for the sound though... you can use computer speakers as long as the have a place for RCA audio (red and white plugs)

• Yes. Works with ps4 too. Hdmi and dvi are basically the same. Just a different slot

• It will if the XBOX has an HDMI port. Not all XBOX's have an HDMI port. If it does this adapter will allow you to connect to a monitor with a DVI port. But you will need a DVI cable as well. You could also just get an HDMI to DVI cable
