• It's 2.4v at 1200mAh, roughly equivalent to two 1.2v 1200mAh AAA batteries. The charge circuitry and shell take up the rest of the space. As two AA batteries (1.2v 4000mAh or 2.4v 2000mAh) completely fill the bay, they may allow more battery life but would be unable to accommodate the necessary charge circuitry and packaging.
