• Before I purchased this unit we looked up the power requirements and manufacture power supply specs for my laptop online. Then cross referenced those specs with the Rocketfish specs and adapters/tips. I would suggest the same. In the box is a list of brands that are compatible and each adapter/tip is labeled for easy reference. I had a sales associate help as we researched at the store.

• yes it is compatible with your Dell Inspiron 6000. You can use tip 23.
