• Yes it can. Just make sure you don't have a heavy soundbar. I mounted a Samsung 5.1 with no issue.

• Instructions say bottom mount only and 17 lbs weight limit. I have a very large and heavy samsung 850 sound bar top mounted. Its is 3 pounds over the limit and I haven't had any issues yet.
