• I don't know the exact dimensions, but it is too small for a standard outlet. I was in a similar situation, but the outlet was already placed, I had to mount it below the outlet. If the outlet was horizontal it would work though

• About 2-3 inches it's enough to put hdmi cables, cable wires etc. just depends on what angle you want the tv to be at.
