• No will not work wall mount not wide enought to cover both studs.

• Option 1 Use a backer board. Cut 3/4” plywood to fit to studs. Mount to plywood. Option 2 Use wall anchors designed for sheetrock I use 3/16 spring loaded consistently and without issue. I use washers to keep the screw from going through the wall mount, a pair of needle nose to hold the washer and allow the screw to penetrate the anchor spring until enough to grab and secure to the wall. (Just tight)
