Can someone tell me the width of the gap in the plate mount. i need to mount this over an outlet and need to know how much space is in that hole in the middle of the mount null

With vertical plate for TV pushed all the way to one side, opening is 11 and 3/4 wide. What may be more of an issue -- opening is only 2.75 high and tapers even smaller at end.

I would say it would be enough for an outlet but not sure if you would have enough space for the plug and wiring between your tv and outlet/wall. Unless you have something else in mind
